Lecia Kaye White, 56, of Fairmont passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on December 26, 1960: daughter of the late Richard Nelson White and Lynna Mae (Sands) Davis of Cross Lanes, WV.
Lecia is survived by one daughter: Amy Lynn Horton and husband Javon of Myrtle Beach, SC, one son: Brian Keith Riley and companion Jamie of Parkersburg and six grandchildren: Jaila Horton, Chasia Horton and Adonijah Horton, Brian Keith “Bubbers” Riley, Jr., Brandon Cash Riley and Aleigha Carpenter. She is also survived by one sister: Beth Brumley of Charleston, one brother: Steve White of Dothan, AL, a lifetime friend and partner in crime: Martha Williams and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Richard, Lecia was preceded in death by one grandson: Trevion Gunner Riley.
Ms. White was a licensed practical nurse and had worked for Dr. Saad Mossallati office and was a paramedic with Lewis County Emergency Squad. Lecia was a graduate of Lewis County High School. She was a kid at heart and was a surrogate grandmother to everyone.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Sheldon Nickerson officiating. Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew, WV. On-line condolences and life stories in memory of Lecia may be expressed at hardman-palettifuneralhome.com.
