Obituary of Benjamin P. Lepperd, Jr.
Benjamin P. Lepperd, Jr., 75, of Hummelstown, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Middletown on May 14, 1942, he was the son of the late Benjamin P. Lepperd, Sr. and Leah Hetrick Lepperd.
Ben was a truck driver for United Parcel Service. He was a 1960 graduate of Hershey High School, and then also served in the US Air Force. Ben was a member of Christian Life Assembly of Camp Hill and Grace United Methodist Church, Hummelstown. An avid Hershey Bears hockey fan, Ben and his wife, Donna, have been season ticket holders for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna J. Whitmoyer Lepperd, whom he married on August 3, 1968; two daughters, Denise Settino wife of Michael and Christine Green both of Hummelstown; four sisters, Beverly Groff of Mt. Joy, Rita Fruhwirth wife of Joseph of Hummelstown, Darlene Johnson of Dresher, and Peggy Lepperd of Middletown; and two granddaughters, Meghan and Alyson Settino.
In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Keister and Betty Simmers; and two brothers, Robert and Danny Lepperd.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the arrangements.
