Obituary for Billy Bullington
Funeral services for Billy Bullington, 70, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at Northern Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, 2765 Liberty Church Road, Pinehurst, Ga. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Billy died Monday evening, Sept. 25, 2017, at Crisp Regional Hospital.
Billy was born in Vienna, Ga. to DeWitt Bullington and Lucille Hudson Bullington. He was a retired tool and die machinist for Harris Press. He was an active member of Northern Heights Baptist Church serving on the Senior Citizen Committee and Social Committee over the years. He enjoyed square dancing and clogging. The family suggests in honor of Billy’s love of his church, that memorial contributions are made to the Northern Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 1102 East Eighth Avenue, Cordele, GA 31015.
He is survived by his sons: Joel Wayne “Joey” Bullington and his wife Missy of Kathleen, Ga. and John Bullington and his wife Mayumi of Temple, Ga.; his siblings: Ruel Bullington of Pinehurst, Ga., Faye Heard and her husband Jerry of Vienna and Royce Bullington and his wife Ila of Cordele; his grandchildren: Billy Ray Bullington, Hannah Bullington, Jimi Bullington and Journey Bullington; the mother of his children: Gail Nace of Kathleen, Ga.; and a special friend: Janet DeVane of Cordele, Ga.
