Ratliff City - Funeral Service for Ainna Beatrice “Bea” (Dees) Thompson, age 83, are scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Ratliff City with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.

Bea was born on June 11, 1934 in Corrine, OK to the late Mr. Felix O. Dees and Mrs. Clistie Billue Dees. She departed this life on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Wilson Nursing Center in Wilson, OK.

Mrs. Thompson was raised in Rattan, OK and attended school there graduating from Rattan High School. She married Leon Thompson on October 30, 1950 in DeQueen, AR. They moved to Tishomingo where Leon attended college. After college they moved to the Healdton and Fox areas where they spent the rest of their lives.

Bea worked outside the home at Stromberg-Carlson in Gene Autry then worked at Uniroyal and also as a beautician. She was very involved in the Fox and Velma Rodeos as the secretary. She was always very crafty and could sew very well. She would make many of her children’s clothes. Bea was a past member of the Fox Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Felix and Clistie; husband, Leon Thompson on January 9, 2016; grandson, Jimmy Lee Thompson, Jr.; brothers, Joe Lee and Wallace Dees; sisters, Marie Tallant, Celeste Roan, and Dovie Rabail.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Tommy Thompson and Ruth Ann of Comanche, Charles Thompson of Lebanon; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Thompson and Jimmy of Ratliff City; brother, Doyle Dees of Rescue, CA; sisters, Patsy Smith of Ringling, and Lottie Tallant of Kenniwick, WA; three half brothers, Edwin, Charles, and James Dees of Rattan; two half sisters, Vivian Fletcher of Tacoma, WA, and Carolyn Anderson of Hugo, OK; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jade Thompson, Toby Thompson, Chad Dumos, Ty Phillips, Charlie Foster, and Jerry Don Pass.

Honorary casket bearers will be Josh Thompson, Pat Anderson, Mike Anderson, and Dustin Thompson.

A family visitation is scheduled for Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Home in Ratliff City.
