Obituary for Giuseppe Ravell Iago "Joey" Monaco II

Giuseppe (Joey) Ravell Iago Monaco II, 39, passed on Monday September 18, 2017. Born September 4, 1978 in Glendale, California to Patti Simpelaar and Giuseppe Monaco. He met the love of his life, Venessa Kaye Monaco (Lowder), on September 14th 1995. They wed on October 16th, 1998 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church and lived a happy 23-year marriage. Together, they had four beautiful children and one grandchild, with another on the way. Giuseppe was an Automotive Service Advisor by trade for 21 years, and a talented mechanic during his down time. Having rebuilt and tuned several Honda hatches, he loved taking cars to the track for race nights. He was also an exceptional artist and writer, who had planned on starting a series of children’s books before his passing. Actively skateboarding his whole life, Giuseppe always enjoyed being outdoors with his friends and family. Joey treasured the weekend trips to Sedona, hiking and camping with his wife and children. He had a way of reaching and connecting with everyone he met in a positive manner, and will remain a bright light for many. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Venessa; his children, Katriana Marie Monaco, Giuseppe Ravell-Iago Monaco (III), Giovanni Dante-Vicente Monaco, and Gino Gabriel-Antonio Monaco; two grandchildren, Lilia and Sylas; his parents, Giuseppe Ravell-Iago Monaco I and Patti J. Town (Simpelaar); and his brother, Cassidy L. Ross. Services for Giuseppe (Joey) Monaco II will be October 14th, at 12:00 PM at Falconer Funeral Home.
