Obituary for Daniel R. Poperowitz, Jr.
Daniel R. Poperowitz, Jr., 71, of Toms River, NJ, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Born in Greenville, NC, he lived in Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Toms River in 1980.
Daniel was a Quality Control Specialist for the US Government for many years.
He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Daniel was a parishioner of St. Justin RC Church, Toms River.
He was predeceased by his wife Josephine in 1999.
Daniel is survived by his daughter Cristy Poperowitz of Toms River, two brothers Thomas and Andy Poperowitz, both of North Carolina, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday 6-9pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 995 Fischer Blvd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday 9:30am at St. Justin RC Church, Toms River. Burial to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
