Obituary for Matthew Wayne Beal
Matthew Beal, 48, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, October 2, 2017. A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00 Monday, October 9, 2017 at The First Baptist Church in Perkins, OK. Strode Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Matt was born to Glenn and Shirley Beal on June 10, 1969 in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Piedmont High School and studied Police Science At OSU. He worked in the Funeral business most of his life. He and his soul mate, Jennifer (Becky) Rebecca Spraggs, were joined in marriage on June 21, 2001 in Eureka Springs, AR.
Matt was a very outgoing soul. He liked to be busy and not sitting on the couch. He always had a love for fishing and hunting, simply being outdoors was a passion. Earlier in life he enjoyed having a race car. He thought about doing it again but, with a smile he would say "No, too much time and too much money". His ambition during the last chapters of his life became home and work. They became his passion; he had many achievements and blessings to come. Matt was loved by many and will forever be missed.
Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Edith Sandidge, Alfred and Lenita Beal and Rose Brewer; step-father, Jim Wells; one sister, Kim Woolf; one uncle, Ted Kimmel.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Justice Spraggs and Brittany Sorrels; both parents; step-mother, Dianna Beal; one brother, Mark Beal (Stacy); two sister, Samanthia Durkee (Antonio) and Tammy Walls (Scott); many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family extends a special thank you to friends, Pam Ramsey and Lori Edgmand for their excellent love and support that they gave through out Matt's illness. The family would also like to send a special thank you to Karman Legacy Hospice in Stillwater for the excellent care they gave to Matt and the love and support shown to the family.
