Obituary for Mary Agnes Ferrell (Campbell)

Mary Agnes  Ferrell (Campbell)
Mary Agnes Campbell Ferrell resident of Augusta, Arkansas and longtime resident of Woodruff County departed this life on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from the Woodruff County Health Center of McCrory at the age of 72 with her family by her side. She was born in McCrory, Arkansas on October 28, 1944, the daughter of the late Hurbert and Valerie Ramsey Campbell.

Mrs. Ferrell graduated from McCrory Schools and later married Mr. James Ferrell on October 7, 1962 where she enjoyed keeping up with him through the years. She was a member of the Broadmoor Baptist Church in Brinkley, Arkansas. Mrs. Ferrell began working as an aide for the Brinkley Public School District then became a teacher after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Education through Arkansas State University of Jonesboro, Arkansas and taught for over 30 years until her retirement in 2007. She had a love for the outdoors where you would find her planting flowers in her garden or feeding the hummingbirds. Her greatest enjoyment was traveling with her grandkids and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Ferrell is preceded in death by her parents, Hurbert and Valerie Campbell, two brothers, R. C. Campbell, Roy Campbell, three sisters, Bonnie Stevens, Alene Suttles, Helen Thrift and her grandson, Jacob Wesley Ferrell.

Mrs. Ferrell is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Ferrell of Augusta, Arkansas, two sons, James Ferrell Jr. and wife Audra of Sherwood, Arkansas, Ron Ferrell and wife Regyna of Maumelle, Arkansas, two daughters, Beth Little and husband Teddy of McCrory, Arkansas, Kimberly Miller and husband Jon of Sherwood, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, Clayton Ferrell, Rebekah Ferrell, Brandon Ferrell, Derek Ferrell, Christina Laney and husband Nathan, Ashlyn Dancer, Matt Little and wife Michelle, Brandon Little and wife Mika, Christian Little, Jeff Miller and wife Asha, three great-grandchildren, Noah Little, Grayson Little and Lilah Little.

The family requests that memorials may be made to the McCrory Cemetery Association in care of Ronnie Pittman.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Clayton Ferrell, Brandon Ferrell, Derek Ferrell, Christian Little, Nathan Laney, Mason Prine and Jeff Miller.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 9th between the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with funeral services on Tuesday, October 10th beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cecil Fuller and Bro. Tim Deahl, officiating. Interment will be in Woodman Cemetery.
