Obituary for Rosalie Ruth "Fritzie" Wilinski

Rosalie Ruth "Fritzie"  Wilinski
ROSALIE R. “FRITZIE” WILINSKI (nee SCHIFERL) age 90 of Greenfield formerly of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday October 5, 2017 at Clement Manor in Greenfield. She was born on April 6, 1927 in Jefferson, daughter of the late Harry and Esther (Winkler) Schiferl. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison, going on to graduate school at Wellesley. She was a certified Naturalist and volunteered and taught at the Wehr Nature Center for 15 years. She taught at St. Alphonsus in Greendale, bringing her love of nature, science, and life to all the lives she touched. She married Richard Wilinski Sr. on July 7, 1951. She painted her entire life and loved to show the simplicity of nature and the way nature encompasses all of God’s creation. Rosalie loved being a mom and grandma. Spending time with her family was always the highlight of her day. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson, and the Peace & Justice Committee at the Church. She is survived by her family; Children Richard (Betsy) Wilinski of Milwaukee, John Wilinski of the Town of Raymond, Maria (John) Jonides of West Allis, Elizabeth (Richard) Wallrath of Waukesha, Kenneth Wilinski of Oak Creek, Theodore (Deanna) Wilinski of Wauwatosa, Joseph (Jin-Hee) Wilinski of Waterford, Arthur (Kerensa) Wilinski of San Francisco, CA 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, Brother William Schiferl of Jefferson, She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard Wilinski Sr. Sisters Gertrude “Tee” (Tom) Curry, Mary (Jack) Astell, Brother Joseph Schiferl, sisters-in-law Yvonne Schiferl, Lois Brown, and daughter-in-law Virginia Wilinski. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the Schneider-Michaelis funeral home in Jefferson with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 10:00 – 11:00 at the church on Tuesday morning prior to the mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish cemetery.
