Condolence From: Steve Stover
Condolence: So sorry to hear of the passing of Ruthanne. I worked with your wife and mother in the early 1990s and always found her to be diligent in her work and a positive member of the work team. She spoke highly of her familly and it was clear she had a love and devotion to them that she proudly showed in her daily activities.

Condolence: As one who worked with Ruthanne for many years, I benefited more than I can say from all she did and all she was. Perhaps no words can do justice to her long career in public service, but I hope it will mean something to share a few words anyway. As much as anyone who ever worked here, Ruthanne put the quality in Quality Control. A model of competence, she was extremely knowledgeable and a great resource to her team. She took pride in her work and expected others to do the same. At the same time, she was approachable and respectful in ways that made her an effective leader. She appreciated the strengths of others and felt strongly that we are all QC, whatever programs me might be reviewing. She had a sense of humor, I remember fondly her smile and her laugh, and I was impressed with her overall decency as a person. As I strive to lead and follow in her footsteps, I could not have asked for a better role model than Ruthanne Gillett. For all she brought to the office, she was so much more than what a job title can say. She was a quality human being who loved her family, was a blessing to her friends, and will surely be missed by both.

Condolence: My thought and prayers go out to your family at this great time of loss. I had the pleasure of working with your mother/wife (well wonderful family member) for many years at the State of Oregon, Quality Control Unit. She spoke often and so highly of her family and all the fun they had together. Please know that her kindness, humor and friendship will be missed immensely. It was a blessing to have her friendship.
