Obituary for June R. Williams (Rader)

June R. Williams, 93, of Lancaster, PA, went home to her Lord in Heaven on Saturday morning, October 7, 2017 at the home of her caregivers, Linda Pace and Sharon Benham. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel Reinohle Rader. She was the wife of the late Charles Williams. She was also preceded in death by husbands Ralph Miller and Chester Groff.

A born-again Christian, June was a member of Lancaster Alliance Church and attended Faith Bible Fellowship Church. Her love for her Lord was expressed by teaching children's Sunday school and ministering to the elderly in the church. In her early years, she was a press operator and a supervisor in a print shop. More recently, she was employed for 13 years by Ganse Apothecary in Lancaster.

A talented seamstress, June made clowns and dolls. She also had a flair for making pies, chocolate chip cookies, and Easter eggs. In addition to having a strong work ethic, she was very giving and generous. As a young woman, she enjoyed bowling and playing the accordion with her family. She had a lifetime passion for spending time at the shore and a fondness for animals, especially her cats and dog.

She is survived by three siblings, Rae Fowler of Millsboro, DE, Joyce Cmehil of Ohio, and Norman Rader of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Dorothy Hartman, Ethel Lape, Paul Rader, Betty Snyder, Raymond Rader, and Patricia Rudy.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday afternoon, October 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Faith Bible Fellowship Church, 151 Donerville Road, Lancaster. Interment will follow in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Guests will be received at a viewing at the church on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
