Obituary for Lillian Zammiello
Lillian Zammiello, 71, of Manchester, the beloved wife of 50 years to Frank Zammiello passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Kingston, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna (Mills) Darwak. Lillian had graduated from St. Ursula Academy in Kingston, NY and Albany Business College. She was retired from Rose and Kiernan Insurance. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children David Zammiello and his wife Lori of Libertyville, IL and Jennifer Fusfeld and her husband David of Manchester; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Fusfeld, Sophia and Eli Zammiello; her siblings, Joseph Darwak and his wife Candy, Michael Darwak and his wife Mary Ann, and Mary Ann Gorsline; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian’s family would like to offer a special note of thanks to Dr. Herlands, Dr. Alekshun, and the nurses at the Starling Infusion Center for their comfort and care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption 27 Adams St. South, Manchester, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital. The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester has care of the arrangements.
