Mrs. Elena C. Lopez, 79, of Corsicana passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at her home in Corsicana surrounded by her family. She was born on August 17, 1938 in Kerens, Texas to Gregorio and Refugia Caudillo.
She married Pete Savala Lopez on March 17, 1954. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Lopez, Sr., son, Juan Lopez, parents, Gregorio and Refugia Caudillo, sisters, Julia Garcia, Guadalupe Rodriguez, and Martha Moreno, brothers, Daniel Caudillo, Cruz Caudillo and Morris Caudillo, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Joe Lopez, Pete Lopez, Jr., Anita Lopez. Linda Lopez, Sylvia Vega, Frank Lopez, Sr., Maria Jimenez, and Greg Lopez; twenty-five grandchildren and forty-two great grandchildren.
A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Lewis Palos officiating. A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Marco Rangel officiating. Interment of her cremated remains will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
