Grandma I could count on you every day,

To be solid happiness and strength,

Making sure we were ok, no matter the length.

As a kid I made a comment about the Golden Girls,

“Just a bunch of funny old ladies”, sent you for a whirl.

What I didn’t see, you gave so much care,

Authentically providing an approving air.

Through time, your love for me became so clear,
