The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gary Cluff can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Almost A Lifetime

I first met Gary when he was a kid living in Island Falls and visiting his grandparents Bob and Frieda Clark at the cabin at Cranberry Portage. We had the cabin next door and it was natural that Gary who was a year older than my brother Ric and his brother Bob who was a year younger than me to spend lots of time togethwer whenever they were down from Island Falls. We used to play Rumoli and other board games at the Clark's table surrounded by the Clarks' collection of penants take covered much of the walls. Clarks' cabin passed down to the Cluff boys and my Dad's cabin passed down to myself, brother Ric and sister, Judy. The Cluffs still have their cabin and we still have ours. Over a great many summers we got to renew our aquaintance and catch up on the news of the past year. For me the Cranberry Portage I knew crumbles a bit more each year. Gary's passing is another piece that is lost except in memory. Thanks Gary for being part of those memories.
