Nona Grace “Gramama” Drake, 67, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017.

Nona was born December 11, 1949 in Longview, Texas, to parents Nolan Lefloy and Gracie Auburn Drake. She was nine of 14 children.

Nona married Larry Ralph Shepard August 2, 1970 and had a big family of their own. She is survived by her daughters, Jamie Shepard-Franklin and Janice Shepard; sons, Travis, Troy and Larry, Jr.; daughters-in-law, Lisia, Michelle, Tawnya and Becky; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren with three more on the way; brothers, Timmy, Jimmy, Doug, Ralph, Dennis and Virgil; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. After raising her family, Nona went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
She is preceded in death by her father, Nolan; mother, Gracie; brothers, Clyde, Delane and Neal; and sisters, Tony, Gail, Sandra and Kathrine.

Nona was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Rest in peace Nona Grace Drake. We love you!

The family will be hosting a celebration of life in the near future. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
