Obituary for Anne Marie Simmons (Morrissette)
AUGUSTA, MAINE
Anne Marie Simmons, age 78, died October 16, 2017 at Alfond Center for Health after a brief illness. She was born in Waterville, ME on February 16, 1939 the daughter of Vital Morrissette and Ozithee (Saucier) Morrissette.
Mrs. Simmons attended Waterville schools, graduating from Cony High School in 1970.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Depositor’s Trust as a switchboard operator for several years. She was previously employed by Cottles grocery store. Anne Marie just loved being a Mom.
Her husband, Millard A. Simmons, preceded her in death in 1982 as well as her four siblings and grandson, Daniel A. Teed.
Surviving are two daughters: Dawn Teed and her husband David of Vassalboro and Kelly Parker and her husband Ed of Augusta; two grandchildren: Charlie R. Parker and Justin R. Parker and his fiancee Stephaine Hallowell and four great grandchildren: Autumn Veilleux, Theia Parker, Abel Parker and Nataley Parker as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit on Monday October 23rd from 10-11 AM at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta where a funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be with her husband in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta, ME at a later date.
