Just came across this notice today (11-11-20) and am so sorry I did not know about this at the time. I used to call your mom or she would call me around the Christmas holidays (once ran into a woman from Prior Lake at a concert and when asked she knew your parents - so gave her my number to call) I have very good memories of all of you and your parents -- back in the growing up days when you lived on Charles and am so glad I was able to have conversations with your mom in her later years. Condolence: Just came across this obituary while doing some research. Sincere condolences...
My mom, who passed away this past January at 91 in Montreal, Canada was also named Helen Gaida but was born in Ukraine very close to the Polish border.
Who knows, maybe there was a distant family relationship.
Again, sincere condolences on your loss...at least both the Helen Gaida's had long happy lives!
