The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Vernard Bradley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Keith and Libby Brownell
Condolence: Libby and I extend our condolences especially to Sharron and Cecile, as well as all their respective family members.

Although I have lived in Calgary since 1975, I have known Vernie since I was a little boy as I was born in Lemieux Ontario in 1941 and lived there for the first 11 years of my life. A visit to his parents’ family farm (where Vernie lived at that time) was always a memorable occasion for me .

For the past 52 years Vernie was a very special friend of mine and my wife Libby and we always remained in contact by telephone. Tthe last time we visited with Vernie was at the Riceville Fair in late August 2015. See photo Labelled Riceville Fair – August 2015.

Since then I have kept in touch with Vernie by phone and my last communication with him was about a month ago. When Sharron sent us an e-mail about his passing, which occurred while she was visiting him and reading to him, it reminded us to remember just how peaceful death can be.

We will continue to remember Vernie even though he is no longer with us.

Keith and Libby Brownell
