Obituary for Marian L. "Pat" Richardson (Diddle)

Marian L. "Pat"  Richardson (Diddle)
Marian L. “Pat” Richardson, 85, of Smock, Pa., died on Friday, October 28 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born in Vandergrift, Pa., on July 15, 1932, daughter of Fred and Eunice (Barnhart) Diddle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 48 years, Joseph R. “Rick” Richardson in 1999, brothers, Wilbert, Robert, Kenneth, and James Diddle, and sisters, Mildred Wienel, Dorothy Miller, Rachel Sedwick, Genevieve Skinner, and Irma Jean Stam; and second husband Stanley Koosher.

Pat was a faithful member of Uniontown Free Methodist Church, and graduate of Uniontown High School Class of 1950. For many years Pat worked as a caregiver for individuals with disabilities at Laurel House, and also worked as a dedicated staff member of the Haky Funeral Home.

Pat was a very kind, gentle, and caring woman. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and loved all animals. Watching her children and grandchildren compete in horse shows brought her great joy.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patti Jo Crawford of Canonsburg, Pa., Joseph R. Richardson, Jr. of Bellingham, WA, Amy R. Miller and husband Donald, of Smock with whom Pat made her home; Grandchildren, Joel Richardson, Deanna Kozak, Laura Reddy, Ashley Hawthorne, Mallory Gonzalez, Riley Miller, and Joely Miller; 11 beloved great Grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gerald Diddle and wife Lucille of Kansas, Donald Diddle and wife Suzanne of Maryland, and numerous nieces and nephews.


Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Monday, October 30, from 2p.m.-8 p.m.; and Tuesday, October 31, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.., the Hour of Service, with Pastor Drew Mountcastle officiating.

In Pat’s memory please make contributions to the Uniontown Free Methodist Church Building Fund.

Private interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
