Earl H.  Baer
Earl H. Baer, 91 of Shippensburg, passed away, Friday, October 27, 2017 at Menno Haven, Chambersburg.

Born September 2, 1926 in Dayton, PA, he was a son of the late James O. and Ruth Elizabeth Holtry Baer.

Earl was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in WWII. He was the Founder, President, and CEO of Shipco, Shippensburg. Earl was a member of the Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg, where he supported children thru The Beautiful Family Program in India. He enjoyed hunting and shooting.

He is survived by one son, Bruce H. (wife Geraldine) Baer, Willow Hill; three daughters, Judy K. (husband James E. Sr.) Wenger, Connie L. Blackhurst, and Deirdra A. (husband Kenneth E. Jr.) Nehf, all of Shippensburg; one brother; Rev. Guy Baer, Fayetteville; one sister, Thelma Shanabrook, Newport News; three step sons, Gary Reed, Scotland, Charles and Steve Reed, both of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife Tressa R. Varner Baer, 2nd wife, Martha Reed Baer, five brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with the Rev. James O. Bolich officiating. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens with Military Honors conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the funeral home.
