Soccer with Parker

My son Ilias has had the most wonderful soccer season. There is not a story from him that does not include either Parker or Jp. Most recently they played far away and were going to be really late coming home. But Ilias wanted to take the bus home so the team could eat at McDonalds after. He said it was his turn. I said, what do you mean? He said Parker bought me dinner last time we went out to eat so I want to buy him dinner tonight, it's my turn. He looked up to Parker so much. They have known eachother since they moved to our neighborhood. This season they got to bond through soccer and as a team family. When Ilias scored a goal, Parker would pick him up and run across the field with him. He will hold onto that memory forever. I remember trying to fit six kids in my little Subaru for football practice. Those were fun car rides out to Roach Field. Parker always wanted to sit in the way back, football pads and all. He loved every sport. Even the baseball years were fun with Parker. He was our best hitter. We miss him more than words can decribe. He definitely left his imprint on my boys lives. My middle son Michael remembers fond sleepovers at the Dupre house. Parker always joined in on the fun. He was never too cool for his baby brother Jarrett. Jarrett and Mike have been best friends since they were four and now more than ever he will be there for him. We love you all so much Dupre/Shipman family. There is not a better mom I know than Teri. She is obsessed with her boys, loves them fiercely. It shows with how much love they give to everyone they know. I am blessed  to have had the chance to be a part of their lives and to share these memories with our boys. Know that we are here for you, no matter what, and love you all to pieces. We love you Parker Francis!
