The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Carter can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: So sad to hear of Mikes passing. I was honored to know Mike, he was my hero of Tour de Cure. His fundraising and friendship were second to none! My thoughts and prayers are with friends and family. Go Red Rider!

Condolence: Very Sad for the loss of Mike. I rode for the Team Red several times over the years (until the ride moved South!). He was always a gracious Team Captain and an inspiring leader.
He will be missed--Go Red Rider!

Condolence: When I moved back to Denver, the 2010 Tour was the first tour I was able to sign up for. Mike was one of the first people I met when I did. I will remember his enthusiasm, friendliness and encouragement he gave me and the people round him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Condolence: I don't know how he did it, but Mike remembered me every year as my little "Friends and Family" team rode in the Longmont TdC ride- he was really special and will be truly missed, but he will live on forever every time someone yells "Go Red Rider!" My sincere condolences to his family.

Condolence: This is so sad. We lost a very good guy, at the Tour de Cure he took the time to visit with everyone. I'll miss this fellow Red Rider so much and I'll miss shaking his hand every time I would see him. Prayers to his family and friends. RIP Brother.
