Alan Emerson McKim August 5, 1925 – November 1, 2017. Alan passed away unexpectedly at Markham, Ontario. Alan was born and raised in Lucknow, Ontario, and graduated from the University Of Toronto in 1949 as a Civil Engineer.
He was one of 4 children born to the late Allan and Elizabeth McKim and was the beloved husband of Florence McKim (Dawson) for 63 years. Alan will be remembered with love by his children Elizabeth (Robin), Jean, and Alan (Debbie), his grandchildren Ryan (Lisa), Collin (Natalie), Andrew, Chris (Alex), Justin, Laura, and his great-grandchild Liam.
Alan touched the lives of many, and lived his life in grateful service to others. He was awarded Uxbridge Citizen of the Year in 2001 for his service to his community. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday November 4th, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, Ontario. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Parkinson Canada.
