Obituary for Margaret Helen Ford

Margaret Helen  Ford
Margaret H. “Peggy” Ford, 90, of Palatka, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Kiva of Palatka following an extended illness. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to Palatka in 1945 following her husband’s discharge from the service. Peggy had worked as a bookkeeper at several businesses including Rexall Drugs, Brunner’s Building Supply and at Florida Furniture Industries where she retired in 2002. She had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church and more recently a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Peggy was a devoted mother in raising her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Ford, Jr., a son, Larry Wayne Ford, her parents, James Joseph Hogue and Carrie Ford Hogue, a granddaughter, Wendy Brooks, son-in-law, Herb Yundt and her siblings, Francis Hogue, Catherine Kerbs and Charles Hogue.
Peggy is survived by 2 sons, James C. “Buddy” Ford (Joyce), Steven Ford (Martha), daughters, Peggy Yundt and Kristy Lewis (Sidney), all of Palatka, a brother, Joseph Hogue (June) of Townson, MD, 6 grandchildren, Matthew Ford (Sherry), Justin Lewis, Craig Ford, Zachary Ford, Allison Lewis and Chad Ford and 2 great-grandchildren, Braxton Ford and Brayson Ford.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Bro. Jeff King officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.
