Obituary for
Patricia Ann Swecker (Stewart)
Mrs. Patricia Ann Stewart Swecker, age 76, a resident of Kingwood, departed this life Wednesday November 1, 2017 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital under the care of Hospice, following a short illness.
She was born February 18, 1941 at Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Emery Oat and Beulah Shreves Stewart. On May 16, 1964 she was united in marriage to Gary Steve Swecker, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter; Sherry Oliver and fiancé Joey Johnson of Morgantown, three grandchildren; Travis Ruckle and wife Ashley and Hunter And Skyler Oliver, Mother in law; Maxine Swecker of Reedsville, and a Brother in law; Richard Swecker also of Reedsville.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by seven siblings. Patricia was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Patricia was a graduate from the Elkins High School and was a Methodist by faith. She worked as a secretary in the bookkeeping department for Exxon from which she retired. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles chapter in Kingwood and she enjoyed reading in her spare time. She also enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales, always looking for a good deal on her treasures. She loved to color with her granddaughter Skyler and loved her family so much and looked forward to each and every time she got to see them. She was a wonderful woman, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received from the Talbott Funeral 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Saturday November 4, 2017 from 12-2 pm the funeral hour with the Rev. Jimmie E. Tallman officiating. Interment will then follow in the Knights of Pythias Mt. View Cemetery in Junior. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Knights of Pythias Mt.
