Obituary for Peter H. Adinolfi

Peter H. Adinolfi
Peter Adinolfi, 64
Peter Adinolfi passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017, in Staten Island. Born on Sept. 17, 1953, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Annadale in Staten Island in 1986. He received his B.A. and M.A. in education from Brooklyn College.
He worked for the New York City Department of Education for 30 years, first as a science teacher and as an educational evaluator. Peter enjoyed playing the guitar and flying his model airplanes.
He was a fan of the New York Yankees, New York Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys. He took pride in his vegetable garden growing tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant.
In 1979 Peter married his high school sweetheart, Pauline. They have been happily married for 38 years.
His greatest joy was his two sons, Christopher and Peter. He coached both his sons at Great Kills Little League and Babe Ruth League for over 15 years. He enjoyed watching his sons play baseball and hockey throughout the years, never missing a game. He enjoyed spending every free minute with his family, from backyard BBQs, watching tv/sports and family vacations.
After retirement, Peter and his wife, Pauline, got to fulfill their dream of traveling to Italy, Alaska, the Grand Canyon, and countless cruises.
He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline, his sister, Kathleen, his two sons and daughters-in-laws, Christopher and Jodi and Peter and Tamara, and their family dog, Ranger.
Visiting is at Colonial Funeral Home on both Saturday and Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass is Monday, Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Thomas Church, 6123 Amboy Road.
