Nina Lea Hodgson, 101, of Mound City, Kansas, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Life Care Center in Osawatomie, Kansas. She was born August 23, 1916 near Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of Walter and Lochia Hart Pugsley. She was married to Gerald C. Hodgson on January 20, 1938 at Ottawa, Kansas. They had a farm near Kincaid, Kansas until their retirement when they moved to Sugar Valley Lake near Mound City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Arlene Ramsey, brother Homer Pugsley and sisters Lola Green and Ina Bea Stewart. Survivors include her sister Nellie Kelley, son Gerald L. Hodgson and six grandchildren: Dennis, David, Darren and Delbert Ramsey; Michelle Zamora and Jennifer Lasley; ten great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 1 pm, Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 noon to service time at the Mound City Chapel. Burial will follow in the Kincaid Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Mound City First Baptist Church.
