Obituary for Jerry Ray Burton
Mr. Jerry Ray Burton, resident of Wynne, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Crestpark Nursing Home in Wynne, Arkansas, at the age of 76. He was born in Cross County, Arkansas on Wednesday, February 26, 1941, the son of Elay Roy Burton and Faye Violet (Watson) Burton. He was a carpenter by trade and of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elay and Faye Burton and a brother, James Edward Burton.
Jerry is survived by two sons, Tim Burton and wife, Donna, of Wynne and Tony Burton of Marked Tree; a daughter, Pam Campbell and husband, Greg, of Tennessee; a stepdaughter, Sheila Jones and husband, Donnie, of Wynne; two brothers, Hershel Burton of Brownsville, Texas and Roy Thomas Burton of Horn Lake, Mississippi; two sisters, Norma Cotton of Dundee, Mississippi and Jeannie Poe of Hernando, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Vanndale Cemetery in Vanndale, Arkansas.
No visitation is planned.
Memorials may be made in Jerry’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
