Obituary for
Lois E. Anderson (Wiberg)
Lois Ellen Anderson passed away on November 3, 2017 surrounded by her family members. She was born on June 16, 1942 to Herbert and Marie Wiberg. She met Robert (Bob) Anderson in 1962 and they married on August 17, 1963 in rural Spink, South Dakota. Lois ran her own beauty salon in Vermillion until 1967 at which time she opened her own beauty shop at her house on the family farm serving her loyal customers for many years. Lois also worked at the Vermillion Civic Council for 9 years until her retirement.
Lois was well known for her welcoming personality, the “coffee and cookies” were always on the table. She was always telling everyone to pull up a chair, the more the merrier. She was most proud of her kids and grandkids. She was a very kind and caring lady who made friends wherever she went. She will be missed dearly by her many family members and dear friends.
She is survived by her husband Bob, daughter Rhonda (Andy) Howe, Terry (Annie) Anderson, Darcy (Dennis) Nagel, and Shawn Anderson. Grandchildren Jacob, Zachary, Dagny, Zane, Chance, Scout, Sage, and Blaze Anderson, Tracy (Seth) Uschuk, and Allison Howe; brother in law Lee (Kateri) Anderson, sisters in law Lyna Wiberg, Deanna Leikvold, and Sharon (John) Ferdig; dear nieces and nephews, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Marie Wiberg, mother and father in law Edwin and Minnie Anderson, brother Don Wiberg, brother in law Carlton Leikvold and her dearly missed grandchildren Allison, Austin, Cole, and Carli Eckert.
