Obituary for Ashley L. (Miller) Ayres

Ashley L. (Miller) Ayres, 33, of Fawn Grove passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of John J. Ayres, III and the beloved mother to Audrey Grace and Sarah Elizabeth Ayres.

Born in York she was the daughter of Dean H. and Linda A. (Schnetzka) Miller of Stewartstown. Ashley graduated from Kennard Dale High School in 2002 and received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with Magna Cum Laude honors from York College and earned her Master’s degree at Penn State. She was a 5th grade Math and Science teacher with the South Eastern School District and was a member of the Fawn United Methodist Church where she was active in the praise band and MOPS. She will be forever remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter and friend.

In addition to her husband John and daughters Audrey and Sarah she is survived by her brother Ryan Miller husband of Kyrsten of Stewartstown, maternal grandmother Joyce Schnetzka, paternal grandparents Harold and Nancy Miller all of Stewartstown; grandfather-in-law Walter Cwik; parents-in-law John J. and Sharon Ayres, Jr. of Stewartstown; brother-in-law Nicholas Ayres husband of Courtney of Chattanooga, TN; aunts and uncles Lorie and John Gray and Debra and Stan Bupp all of Stewartstown and Jean and Chuck Hawbaker of Gardners, PA and numerous cousins. Ashley was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Harold Schnetzka and aunt Kay (Schnetzka) Houston.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11 am from Fawn United Methodist Church, 67 S. Market St., Fawn Grove, PA 17321. Interment will be private at the convenience of her family. Viewings will be held Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the church and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of her funeral service at the church.
