Obituary for Edward Lee Smith Sr.
Edward L. Smith, 85, of Herrin, passed away at 8:45 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Integrity Health Care in Marion.
Edward was born January 25, 1932 in Makanda to Leon and Ola (Sprague) Smith.
Ed was self- employed, having owned rental property in and around Herrin for many years. He was a 1949 graduate of Carbondale High School.
Ed is survived by his three daughters, Pamela Smith of Edina, MN, Debbie (Bob) Barker of Charleston, IL and Lisa (Michael) Kratz of VA; former wife, Lady Lina Traldi of Rio De Janerio, Brazil, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents; son, Edward Lee Smith, Jr and his first wife and the mother of his children, Edna Mae Owen.
In honor of his request, he was cremated and there will be no services
