Obituary for Michael "Mike" Steven Hale
Michael “Mike” Steven Hale, age 60 of Franklin, TN. passed away suddenly November 7, 2017. Mike had retired from General Motors after 30+ years. He was an avid target shooter and had received a distinguished marksmanship medal. After retirement he helped as a gunsmith at Ted’s Sporting Goods in Columbia. By trade Mike was a craftsman who loved to work with his hands, but most importantly of all he loved his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas F. Hale. Survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Vickie Hale; mother, Carole Hale; son, Matthew Hale; daughter, Chrissy (Robert) Billings; grandson, Bo Billings; sister, Laurie (Mike) Woytus and other loving family members. A memorial gathering will be held from 4-8:00PM Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
