Dear Rod, I have just discovered today that Melanie passed away last November. I am so very shocked and sorry to learn this terribly sad news. I have such fond memories of her as a vibrant and gracious woman from the time I worked with you in Newcastle. I remember staying with your family to go night skiing at Kirby and how warmly welcome Mel made me feel. Please accept my deepest condolences, I feel terrible that I did not know earlier, I would have attended her memorial service out of respect and affection for you both.
