SPRINGFIELD- Muriel “Kit” Catherine (Bennett) Lange, 93, of Springfield passed away on November 11, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Carle Place, NY to the late Miles and Grace (Brown) Bennett. A graduate of Richmond Hill High School, Muriel was a secretary in Manhattan until she left to become a loving mother. She was a longtime resident of Sea Cliff, NY until retiring to Springfield in 1984. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, George Lewis Lange; and her brothers, Miles Bennett and John Bennett. Muriel will be greatly missed by her children, Donald Lange and his wife Susan of Fredericksburg, VA; Robert Lange and his wife Terryl of Sea Cliff, NY; and Cathy Lange-Mazanec and her husband Dale of Springfield; her grandchildren, Beth, Jeff, Ian, Thea, and Chris; and her six great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at both Mercy Medical Center and Mercy Hospice for the compassion and care given to Muriel recently. All services will be private and at the convenience of the family with Sampson’s Family Chapels assisting.
