Daniel Olav Te'o-Nesheim 30, Daniel passed away October 29, 2017 in Hilo. Daniel was born on June 12,1987 in Pago Pago American Samoa. He was a Football Head Coach. Survived by his Mother Ailota Te'o; Grandmother Luisa Te'o; Sister Marie Louise ( Max III) Aiona; Nephews David, Max IV, Lucca; and Niece Liliana; Numerous Uncles, Aunts,Cousins. He will be greatly missed, and his absence will be felt by all.

Life Story for Daniel Olav Te'o-Nesheim

First and foremost, he was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin,Mentor and a friend.He was a gentle and loyal soul who loved,laughed,and lived every minute to its fullest.His sudden passing leaves a void in the countless lives he has touched, but we remain steadfast in our faith and find comfort in the knowledge that he is now a guardian angel for all who love him.
During his time a standout player at the University of Washington. Daniel received countless accolades and awards, such as the defensive MVP, the Guy Flaherty Most Inspirational Award, the L. Wait Rising Lineman of the Year Award, and the John P. Angel College Club Outstanding Defensive Lineman of the Year Award. He was a team captain, and also earned second team All Pac-10 Honors.
Following his career as one of the greatest Husky defensive linemen, Daniel was the 86th pick of the 2010 NFL draft. He played four seasons in the league before returning home to Hawaii. Daniel proudly returned to his alma mater as an Assistant Coach and later became Head Coach of Hawaii Preparatory Academy's football team.His passion for sharing his love for the game and inspiring young players was undeniable.
