Condolence From: Alexandra and Derek Graham
Condolence: In 1996 we purchased a Goldendale female pup from Joan and Tom's Rebel of the Tay litter. Her name was Vanda and she lived until she was 17. Another Goldendale female followed in 1998, Fleur, from Joan and Tom's Mighty Mac. Fleur produced a litter of 10 pups in 2000, my first venture into dog breeding. Joan was invaluable with her advice and support during my novice years as a breeder. Now, 17 years later Fleur's great granddaughter, Amber, is producing lovely puppies, still sought after by people drawn to that magnetic Goldendale name in the pedigree. Breeding these wonderful dogs has been a passionate hobby for me for the past 17 years and I will always be thankful to Joan and Tom for their help, wisdom and advice along the way. The Goldendale name lives on!
Tom was my husband Derek's scoutmaster in Don Mills.

Condolence: It must be a consolation that she had such a rich life. While we were not close, I guess I was and am kind of inspired by how she "followed her bliss," and did this around Christie Lake.
