Age 71, of Penn Hills, formerly of Garfield, on Friday, November 17, 2017, following a long battle with service connected cancer. Beloved husband of Betty (Smith) Blumer; Father of Susan (Chris) Bailey, Cheryl (Tim) Bassett, Diana (Gary) Ed, Deborah (Frank) Frederick, Tracie ( James) Smail, Sean (Erin) Smith, and Rebecca Tokich; Grandfather of 12; Great Grandfather of 3; also survived by nieces, nephews, and lifelong friend, Harold (Char) Sheldon. He was a US Army Veteran having served as MP during the Vietnam War. Don retired from Meize Jet Air Sales after 34 years. A gearhead, Don loved building model cars and watching funny car, dragster, and NHRA races. He will be greatly missed, especially by his dogs, Mikey and Maggie. Friends received, Monday, 3:00 pm until Funeral Service at 7pm at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills.
