As cousins of sisters, Cecilia and I saw a lot of each other and shared a number of experiences despite our age difference. One of my first memories, when I was 3-4, is of Cecilia and her good friend, Marianne, taking me on my first city bus ride, when they were teenagers. I was so happy to be with the big girls. But can you imagine two teenagers willingly carting around a three year old? Later, after Cecelia and Tom were married and lived in the big city, they took me to the Bronx Zoo, another first for me and still my only time there.
Cecilia was a great athlete. She was a cheerleader and she excelled as a bowler but she also played excellent softball. I can hit a good line drive but she could belt the ball to the outfield with what seemed like little effort.
Cecilia was a dear cousin, whom, I always loved and admired.
