Kathryn L. Olagbemiro, 60, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at her residence.
Born in Madison, SD, on August 12, 1957, she was the daughter of John and Louise (Walker) Bakke.
Kathy was proudly employed as a Registered Nurse at several different Kenosha and Metropolitan Milwaukee facilities over the years, after completing her nursing degree from Gateway Technical College in 1996. She was an advocate for the Domestic Violence Project, Kenosha Against Sexual Assault, and AIDS project volunteer, and in general was an avid supporter of human and civil rights. She will be remembered for her acceptance of all people, and allowed them their own wings to fly. She enjoyed music, traveling, and cooking for her friends and family.
Surviving Kathryn are her parents, John and Louise Bakke; three children, David (Heather) Rundall, Alicia Harris, and Christopher (Stacey) Moore; seven grandchildren, Rasheed King, Isabel and Mariah Rundall, and Amiya, Christopher Jr., Calvyn, and Aiyden Moore; and two brothers, Kimberly Bakke of Goodyear, AZ, and Peter Bakke of Waukesha, WI. She is further survived by extended relatives, and many longtime friends.
Visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 29th, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
