William J  Huth
WILLIAM JOSEPH HUTH, born September 30, 1922 and passed from this life on November 23, 2017. Loving husband of the late Shirley (Green) Huth; wonderful father of James Huth, M. Elaine Huth, Esq., Jane Weber (Edward), Nancy Huth-Jones, M.D. (Raymond), Thomas Huth, M.D. (Mary), Connie Fears (Isaac "Ike"), and Jerome Huth (Kate); also survived by 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; dear sisters: Clare (Huth) Willenbrink, Elizabeth "Betty” Huth, and Margie (Heringer) Huth; and many relatives and friends, including Walt and Phyllis Menetrey.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years: Shirley (Green) Huth; his much-loved parents: Edwin and Clara (Beal) Huth; his close-knit siblings and their spouses: Edwin and Mary Helen Huth, Robert and Grace Huth, John "Jack" Huth, Thomas Huth M.D., Harry and Mary (Huth) Herbst, Roy Willenbrink, and Ralph and Virginia (Huth)Rust; his relatives and friends: Jennings and Isabella Green, Ramona Green, William and Mae Osterhage, Bill and Betty Osterhage, Doris and Victor Surnbrock, Richard Hagee, and others for whom he held great love and respect.

Bill graduated from Elder High School in Cincinnati, OH, in 1939. WWII broke out, and Bill answered the call to arms, being inducted into the U.S. Army on January 30, 1943. On January 26, 1945, Bill was injured in Ardennes, Belgium and was awarded the Purple Heart and several other medals and commendations. He was honorably discharged on January 5, 1946, and returned to Cincinnati, where he graduated from Xavier University and later earned a Masters Degree at the University of Cincinnati. Bill taught at Western Hills High School for 30 years, and for many years was also the night school principal.

Bill Huth and Shirley Green were married on Dec. 29, 1949 and spent 61 years together until her death on Dec. 30, 2010. During that time, they raised 7 children and were active members of St. Ignatius of Loyola Church. Bill loved to travel and was always looking forward to the next trip. He was also a long-time volunteer at St. John's Social Services and Cincinnati Right To Life, and was among the founding members of the Cheviot Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, serving active duty and veteran military personnel.

Visitation at Rebold, Rosenacker & Sexton Funeral Home, 3700 Glenmore Ave, Cheviot, Thursday 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral Mass, Friday, 10:30 AM, St. Ignatius Church. Burial, with Military Honors to follow in St Aloysius Gonzaga Cemetery.
