Our deepest sympathy with the passing of Ed Smith. This is a terrible loss for the entire community. Dr. Smith was an amazing Doctor for the seniors of Timmins for many many years. We feel very lucky to have known him and his incredible contribution to honour our seniors with quality of life to the very end. Thinking of the entire Smith family at this time.
It is with mixed feelings that I learned of Ed's passing.Relief that his ordeal was over but sadness because the city of Timmins and the world of medicine has lost a great man.As a young medical student, I sought out Ed because of his reputation as a great clinician but as an even greater human being. It did not take me long to realize that both of these reputations were well deserved. A great man is finally at peace. God speed Dr.Smith.

We are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was a wonderful tireless person who gave so much of himself. We wish he and been able to enjoy his retirement so much longer than he had a chance to. If anyone deserved to it was Ed.
