Obituary for Robert E "Moose" Mattle, Sr.

Robert E "Moose"  Mattle, Sr.
Robert E. Mattle Sr. (Moose) Age 77 passed away peacefully on Saturday November 25th after a lengthy illness. Bob was a carpenter by trade and owned his own business “Peterson and Mattle” with his business partner Barney Peterson for many years. Most recently he worked for CB Richard Ellis servicing local Bank of America branches prior to retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He later volunteered with the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad for 38 years serving in many positions including Chief and Trustee. He was a life member of the squad. He spent many years teaching young Emergency Medical Technicians with the Atlantic County EMT Training program. He and his wife Barbara enjoyed going on trips and cruises.

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Haubrich) for over 54 years, his two children Robert Jr. (Maureen) and Anne Esham (Stu). His sister Sarah A. Landy (Joe). He has five grandchildren, Kevin Karrer, Dana Karrer, Stu Esham, McKayla Esham and Paige McColgan. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and his extended rescue squad family. He is predeceased by his parents August and Isabella Mattle.

Viewings will be held on Thursday evening November 30th from 6 to 9PM and Friday morning 10-11 AM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. A short service will be held at 11 AM Friday. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Mays Landing.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations be sent to the Township of Hamilton Rescue 1404 Route 50 Mays Landing. NJ 08330
