Shawn Troy Howerton, 55, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at his home in Ponca City, OK. His Funeral Services will be 2:00 on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, OK. Interment will follow at the Carney Cemetery in Carney, OK.
Shawn was born to Kenneth Troy and Vicki Karen Howerton on February 18, 1962 in Stillwater, OK.
He attended Skyline Elementary, Highland Park Elementary, Stillwater Middle School and CE Donart H.S. He was part of the IBEW and completed the Electrical Apprenticeship Program. He went on to work as a Journeyman Electrician for 35 years in the Ponca City area. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Stillwater, OK.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one daughter, Karlie Jo Free; two grandchildren, Jack Fletcher Free and Hayes Aaron Free; one brother, Joel Brett Howerton; one sister, Kinni Lin McDaniel.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Howerton, Clay Howerton, Chance Howerton, Chandler Howerton, Cale Howerton, Derrek Barnes, Mark Murnan and Sam Free.
