The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Frederick O'Neill can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Peter Thayer
Condolence: Fred was a Marietta institution. I used to see him all the time at First Settlement and then at McDonalds. Before his health really took a turn, he would come to the Marietta College Library to draft and send his editorials to the Marietta Times. I would help him log on to the computer and make sure he was doing OK. I was glad I got a chance to know Fred. He was very well spoken and intelligent and always had a positive attitude. I know I and many others in the Marietta area will miss him. Prayers and blessings to his family. Peter Thayer, Williamstown WV
