Pearl C. Platt, 85, of Harrisburg, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017, in Frey Village.
She was born in Harrisburg on February 27, 1932, to the late William H. and Dora U. Ritter Platt.
Pearl was a machine operator for the New Cumberland Box Company. She was an accomplished softball player and avid sports fan, but especially loved hockey. Pearl was a Hershey Bears season ticket holder for many years, as well as being a Philadelphia Flyers fan. Some of her favorite memories were made at the family cabin in Stoney Creek. Pearl also enjoyed playing various card games and collected penguins. She was a wonderful sister and aunt, and will be greatly missed by her family.
Pearl is survived by two sisters, Mary Neff wife of Nelson of Hershey and Edna Stahl of Grantville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth R. Platt and William J. Platt; two sisters, Beulah N. Popp and Grace P. Cobaugh; and best friend, Elizabeth Young.
Per her final wishes, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later time.
