The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jurl Hickey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Melissa Shook
Condolence: I will never forget going to Belk and talking to Jurl MANY times. He was such a kind man. Then when I went through cancer treatment, I remember him calling my mom almost daily to check on me, as if I were family. I certainly never forgot that! I wish Malinda and the rest of the family peace and comfort during this difficult time. All my love, Melissa Shook

Condolence: I’m so sorry for your loss, Malinda, Shelley, Zoe, Riley, and Chelsea. Mr. Hickey was a sweet, sweet man who was like a second dad to me. I’ll always remember him dancing on your coffee table with you Malinda.

He’s dancing with my parents in Heaven now. I’m sure they’ve already started a pinochle club if my dad has anything to do with it.

Wishing you all peace and comfort. Praying for you. Love you.
