Obituary for Loretta E. Pingel (Riley)

Loretta E. Pingel (Riley)
Loretta E. Pingel, age 93, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at MCHS in Bloomer. She was born March 12, 1924 in the Town of Sampson to Frank and Ida (Luethi) Riley. She went to grade school at Maplewood School and graduated from New Auburn High School. She married Orville Pingel on June 6, 1942 at St. John’s Lutheran church in Bloomer. They lived in the Village of Auburn except for 1957-1959 when they lived in Minneapolis MN. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in New Auburn and sang in their choir for 25 years. She loved her family deeply and was very proud of their accomplishments.

She is survived by sons: John (Janet) Pingel, James (Marjorie) Pingel and Joe (Terriese) Pingel all of New Auburn; one daughter: Janet (Clyde) Allison of Bloomer; sisters-in-law Marga Riley, Ilene Pingel; 16 grandchildren, 27 great children and 7.5 great-great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Ida Riley; husband: Orville; sisters: Clara Robey, Marion Lodgaard and Iva Summers; brothers: Aaron and Ervin Riley

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 7 2017 at 1:00 PM at Bethel Lutheran Church in New Auburn. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the Bloomer Cemetery.
