Obituary for Richard E. Snell

Richard E.  Snell
Richard E. Snell, 58, of Newburg, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at home.

He was born September 15, 1959 in Greensburg, PA. Richard was a son of Kathryn “Kitty” McDowell Snell of Orrstown and the late Earl E. Snell.

He was a Systems Analyst with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission in Harrisburg. Richard was a 1977 graduate of East Pennsboro High School and then graduated from Thompson Institute. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Computer Technology from Shippensburg University. Richard was a member of the Shippensburg Fish & Game Association.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, La’nee Snell; one sister, Kathy L. (Brian) Hewitt of Shippensburg and their children, Benjamin, Bethany, Rebekah and David.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 12 p.m. in the Mt. Rock Church, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Laverne Musser. Burial will be in the Mt. Rock Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in church.
