Obituary for Paul M. Urban

Paul M.  Urban
Paul M. Urban, 71, of Reading, passed away on December 6, 2017, in his residence.

He was the loving husband of Jane K. (Greely) Urban. They were married on September 29, 1973.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Karnat) Urban.

He was a 1964 graduate of Reading High School.

Paul was a proud U.S. Army veteran.

He worked as a procurement clerk for over 30 years for the U.S. Postal Service before his retirement in October of 2009.

Paul was a member of St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church.

He was a member of South End Gun Club and Mohnton Gun Club. Paul was an avid trap shooter, hunter, and fisherman. He spent as much time as possible at the family hunting cabin, The Lazy U. He was also a proud member of the NRA.

Paul adored his family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a caring grandfather. He especially loved taking them for ice cream.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Kimberly Henry and husband Jason, Mertztown; Sandra Hower and husband Nicholas, Denver; and Kevin Urban and wife Lauren, Phoenixville; five grandchildren: Kamryn and Jaxton Henry, Peyton, Mason, and Liam Hower; and three siblings: Sally Urban, Reading; Thomas Urban and wife Debby, West Reading; and Michael Urban and wife Linda, Womelsdorf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:45 am on Monday, December 11, 2017, in St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church, 20 St. Stephen's Church Lane, Reading, PA 19607. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 pm and Monday from 9-10 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, 19611. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church at the above address or the American Heart Association at 5455 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43214.
